a beginners guide to Bible study
by Mike Lester
Have you ever opened your Bible and just stared at it? You were either unsure of where to start, or wondering if you could even make sense of it. Deep down, you want to be committed to God's Word, but you just feel like you lack the tools, the resources, or even the time?
This book starts at Ground Zero for Bible study and takes you through a three-step process to be able to rightly divide the Bible for yourself. You will find these steps explained and illustrated in a way that you can begin studying the Bible immediately. Sample passages are worked through together and action items are provided along each step of the way.

I purchased this book, so that I might have a greater or simplified resource to share with my teenagers at home and within the youth group that I lead at our church. What a blessing it was to read through. Breaking down terminology and ideas of great importance and explaining a sometimes daunting and perceived unattainable goal of understanding biblical truths and application to our lives without being a pastor or have a doctorate in theology. Basic principles, supported by basic logic, with a biblical foundation and realistic examples of pitfalls and barriers than readers might face. This book was such a joy to read and has given me a way to share and connect my vision and hope for those in my life to be able to grasp nuggets and truths that I have found through bible study.
